Valentine’s Day 2017: Gift Ideas For The Traveler

Oh, Valentine’s Day…You either LOVE it or HATE it. What started off as a day to honour a saint, became romanticized in the 14th century into an international day of LOVE and is now the favourite day for many people. If your other half loves to travel, here are some gift ideas to inspire you:

Document Your Travels in a Photo Book

Have you done some traveling together? Do you have lot’s of fun memories and photos to share? Create your own photo book on If you know how to use indesign you can download a plug-in which will give you more control over the design of your book. Add in your own illustrations, write down funny moments and hide little messages within the book for them to find. It makes for a great keepsake and something both of you will love to look at over and over again.

Tell The World You’re a Couple

This is something I personally would not get and I actually cringe at the sight of it, but I have seen many couples on my travels wearing the dreaded ‘Couple Tees’. Maybe you don’t want to lose them in the crowd, or you want to tell the world you are traveling together or just simply like looking the same. Whatever the reason, here are some interesting options I found (of course, you aren’t obligated to buy a pair). I’ve curated them into a collection on TeePublic.

You can also check out Design By Humans for some great Tees:

Plan a Trip Together

No gift is better for a traveler than the gift of travel. Give them something to look forward to by planning a trip away together. Offer to pay for flights or accommodation or an activity. Don’t know where to go? Check out Momondo to compare flights. Or book a tour with Contiki.

Inspire Them With a Book About Travel
