    48 Hours In Barcelona, Spain

    After a quick visit to Nice, Monaco and St Paul de Vence, we hopped on a plane to Barcelona, Spain. From Nice, it was a short 1 hour 20 minutes flight. If you are on a budget, compare flights on Momondo to find the best value. We ended up going with EasyJet.

    If you know you will be catching the train 10 times, do get a T10 Transport Ticket

    Once we arrived in Barcelona, we caught an Aerobus from outside the airport to Placa Catalunya. A return ticket cost 10.20€ (valid for 15 days) and the ride took roughly 35 minutes. Placa Catalunya is the Main train station, so from there you can find connecting transportation to other parts of Barcelona.

    Airbnb scams: And how to avoid them

    Whenever people ask me for recommendations on accommodation the name Airbnb seems to pop up a lot. I’ve used Airbnb many times in the past and 99% of the time it has been a good experience.

    For example:
    – In Japan we were provided with free pocket Wi-Fi, which meant Wi-Fi everywhere!
    – In Lisbon the host picked us up from the bus station and walked us to the apartment. She even got her husband to help us with our luggage.
    – In Antwerp, our host treated us with a bowl of free chocolates which we snacked on everyday.

    With everything, where there is money involved, there will always be people out there trying to benefit illegally. I have heard many horror stories about Airbnb scams.
